The Last Witness

A human

is not merely a body

crossing the earth

only to disappear.

A human

is a Soul.

Wherever it wanders,

it leaves behind

a fragment of itself

something that lingers,

something that breathes,

something that keeps

life alive.

When a Human is gone,

their echoes remain.

But when a person is killed,

it is never

just one life that ends.

Parts of the earth

die with them.

For the earth

is not kept alive

by stone,

nor by roads,

nor by walls.

It lives

through its people.

And when the people

are taken,

the land falls barren.

Their traces fade.

Their stories fall silent.

Nothing remains standing

but the rubble

still,

silent,

like the last witness,

telling that

Once...

people lived here.

Life lived here.

Then...

war came.

And carried away

everything

that made this place

alive.
